The Animal Liberation Front Supporters Group (ALFSG) was founded in 1982, six years after the ALF itself. As well as sharing news and inspiring action, the magazine was initially used to fund ALF actions, and support prisoners.
Following the arrest of ALF founder Ronnie Lee in 1986, the ALF SG went underground, and in anonymous new hands began printing again from issue #1.
