SEAL – Straightedge Animal Liberation
SEAL (Straightedge Animal Liberation) was a North American zine from the vegan straight edge hardcore scene of the mid-1990s. Issue three, from around 1996, mixes animal liberation news with hardcore culture. It carries an interview with Freeman Wicklund about SOAR, the Minneapolis student animal rights group, and the launch of No Compromise magazine, along with press coverage of the 1995 mink releases from fur farms in British Columbia and reviews of zines and records by bands such as Earth Crisis, Birthright and Abnegation.
