Sombras y Cizallas (Spain)

Sombras y Cizallas (“Shadows and Bolt Cutters”) was a Spanish-language magazine produced in Spain between 2003 and 2008, devoted entirely to news of direct action for animal liberation. Its editors set out to report on actions in Spain and around the world rather than to debate ethics. Across at least eleven issues it covered mink farm releases and laboratory beagle rescues in Spain, the history of the ALF in Sweden, prisoner support and interviews with activists abroad.
